We had a great family reunion with our 2 daughters & families from Calif and we met our oldest daughter and her husband, who turned 30 this weekend and the reason for the trip, who live in Holland. We are from Arizona and we surely enjoyed the cooler weather and the beautiful open scenery. The house was lovely, well stocked, roomy and very clean! We enjoyed our stay so much. We now know where we can come to stay when we come to visit. Thanks so much.

We had a great time. This house made it real easy for my 17 month old girl to play safely. We went to down town Holland and Saugatuck and to the lake. It was really nice to have a house to come back to. Thanks for having baby things.

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation with our first vacation with our new baby boy Landon. We enjoyed the lovely weather, it was a nice break from the California summer heat. We climbed the 282 steps in Saugatuck to get to beach. I'm not sure I will be able to walk tomorrow. We loved all the interesting shops in town and enjoyed the truffles from the local fudge shops.

Thanks for another great week at Holland! Not too hot, so we could take long walks on the beach. Found a good fish restaurant - the Beachwood Inn. Blueberries are still in season, and get sweeter in mid August. The sunsets were spectacular, and we was "The Sturgeon Moon" - the full moon in sturgeon season, rising during sunset. Walked a lot in Keppel Park.

The cottage is great! We loved being so close to the bike trails and Tunnel Park. We've come to Holland on day trips often but this was our first extended trip and we didn't realize how much Holland has to offer. Dutch Village, Saugatuck Dune Rides & Windmill Island were fantastic and the kids loved Crazy Bounce. Hopefully we'll return to Singing Sand Cottage in the future - maybe even for a winter getaway.

Our week at Singing Sand has flown by. We've enjoyed the cottage very much!
Backyard campfires with s'mores were lots of fun. We spent several days at Tunnel Park; it's awesome that it's so close!
The dune buggy rides in Saugatuck were a highlight. We saw a White Caps (minor league) baseball game in Grand Rapids. That's a nice outing too.
Dutton Park & it's board walks are really cool. The Farmer's Market on Wednesday & Saturdays can't be beat!! Blueberries were fabulous!
Captain Sundaes has the Awesome "Turtle" !WOW!
Thanks for a great week! We loved it!

Thank you for the lodgings here in Holland. We had a grand time visiting the area again and spending time with our sun, his wife & their 2 children; the newest having been just born in May and baptized this July. It turned out to be a nice family reunion.
Thanks again,

We came to Singing Sand for Labor Day weekend trip. We were delightfully surprised to see how clean the cottage was and how close we were to the beach. The things/places we enjoyed were the Tulipanes Festival, downtown Holland, Saugatuck, Tunnel Park, the State Park Beach & bike riding. The cottage was comfortable and the fire pit was an added bonus. We could not have asked for better weather. Our 3 yr old loved the swings in the backyard and the open area in the basement.
Lake Michigan is just beautiful and we'd love to come back to this side of the state again and again. Thank you for your hospitality. We are so happy that we found this place!

This was our second year at Singing Sand and once again all our needs were met by the amenities and layout or the house. The basement is a great place for the kids to play on rainy days - the rooms are just the right size - comfortable beds & other furniture - thanks for your hospitality!
This area is just wonderful, with beautiful beaches including a new find, Kirk Park about 10 miles North of Tunnel on Lakeshore Dr. We also had a few days of threatening weather, so we were happy to find The Lost City activity center with laser tag, Chucky Cheese, Crazy Bounce on Felch, the go-cart / arcade - and of course the movies for non-beach days. Kids are happy, we are happy!
Thanks!

We had our first family vacation with our children and grandchildren. It was just the perfect size for us. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes to Tunnel Park & over the to the State Park with an ice cream stop. The kids just loved running up & down the wand hill. What a fun hill for everyone! We also enjoyed a day going to the sidewalk sales in Grand Haven and seeing the windmill at Windmill Island, fun for everyone was at Craig's Cruisers. The grandchildren just loved playing video games, putt putt golf, batting cages, going around the track in the go-carts and their favorite video game was Deal or No Deal. Then it was time to pick out the prizes & oh what fun they had with over 450 points. They selected a Frisbee which we brought to the Grand Haven beach. Overall we had a great week. Tomorrow we are on to Michigan Adventure Park to continue our vacation.
Thanks!

The accommodations worked perfect for our situation. The two grandchildren slept in the den, which worked out well as they were just far away from the rest of us in the evening while we played cards.
We did not have to worry about being too loud in the evening but yet we were able to hear them just fine in the morning.
It was very convenient that we had the use of a high chair and also a washer and dryer.
The kids really enjoyed Tunnel Park, which we visited every day. The people we meet there were very friendly. The beaches were absolutely perfect! We went to both Tunnel Park and the Holland State Park.
Our granddaughter enjoyed her first 'official fireworks'.
We are inline skaters so we were able to take advantage of all of the paved trails.
The location is nice as you can be in Grand Haven or Saugatuck in less than 1/2 an hour. Both of which have nice places to dine. We went to Butches in Holland for dinner one night and I would definitely recommend it.
One more thing I want to mention is the Farmers Market and the wonderful blueberries. We kept going back to buy more from the nearby blueberry stand.
Thanks we had a great family vacation,

Thank you for opening your home to us. We felt comfortable and at home here. Your home is spacious and well laid out, and we enjoyed our time here. It was a great place to enjoy a “sister weekend” and to take in the beautiful tulips. Holland is a lovely town.
All the best to you this season!

We've come from all parts of the world. Scotland, Atlanta, Michigan, Philadelphia, etc... only to find our home here in Holland!
The fire pit was a nice touch, until our brother-in-law decided to try the "fire walk". Maybe there's no such thing as mind over matter...
Your location was nearly perfect, with an easy stroll to Tunnel beach -- Unfortunately the wind gods were also on vacation this Labor Day weekend. Lets hope they return next year -- along with the rest of us.

Hello!
We had a great time at Singing Sand cottage. Thank you for opening it up to us. We never realized how beautiful Michigan Lake is until this trip. We would have come a lot sooner! We visited Tunnel Park Beach, which is great because it's not too crowded. We went to Silver Lake and rode the dune buggies, which is a must! What a great experience! So fun. We went to the Dutch Village where we saw the 246 year old windmill, what great history. We really enjoyed downtown Saugatuck where shopping and dinning is abundant. It's a really cute and artsy town. Another must is to have dinner at Pietro's in downtown Holland. It's wonderful authentic Italian, but beware - there is no air conditioning so I would recommend going later in the evening when it's cooler.
Thanks for the beautiful cottage and vacation! We had a great time.

WE had a fantastic time! The kids loved the brightness & themes of the bedrooms! The house was perfect size for a family of seven. Walking to the beach everyday and digging in the sand was fun for everyone. We all enjoyed shopping in Saugatuck and riding on the Star of Saugatuck boat. The Craig's Adventure was well worth the price on Wednesday night. My kids are all going pro! Watching the sunsets each night over the lake was breathtaking. The weather was great all week. Bonfires & smores YUMMY!
THANKS!

Our vacation at Singing Sand Cottage went by way too fast! We are already planning to come back next summer! We spent several days lying around on the beach at Tunnel Park. Another day exploring Holland and all it's wonderful parks. Another fun adventure was taking the kids to Michigan Adventure. And lastly today, we rented a pontoon boat on Silver Lake and rode on the jeep through the sand dunes! What an amazing vacation! Singing Sand Cottage was a wonderful place to relax at the end of each day.
Thank You!!

We liked this house (Singing Sand) a lot. Comfortable and clean. Time here went very fast.
We enjoyed our stay here. The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. I especially appreciated the air conditioning since we had a heat wave while we were here. The beach is just a short walk and was great.
We have two families who have cottages in Holland and Saugatuck and this was a good location to visit both.

We enjoyed the Singing Sand cottage. It was comfortable and we really enjoyed the air conditioning.
Our "must do" activities would include Ottawa Beach, downtown Holland (shopping & dining), Dutch Village shoes, Saugatuck, Star of Saugatuck, jet skis and Grand Haven.
We enjoyed eating at New Holland Brewery Co., Pietro's, and Boatwerks. Windmill diner was great for lunch.
You must see a sunset at the beach. We found there was a lot more to do than we thought.
P.S. Rent bikes (Cross Country Cycle).

Another beautiful week spent in Holland! We keep coming back to Michigan every summer, and this was the best cottage we've found so far! We'll be planning to come here next summer, again.
The must wee, of course, are Dutch Village, the Musical Fountain at Grand Haven and the long pier there. The must-do according to our girls, is jet ski! And the blueberries! Walking on the beach, watching sunsets, swimming for hours...
Thanks a lot for the great cottage!

Thanks for a great time! We never tire of the Michigan beaches plus we get to visit family in the area. We also took a trip to Chicago to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Our 17 year old son wants to be an engineer. He loved it! The girls swim for hours. Lake Shore Drive is a biking heaven for Dan. Me, I just want a quite relaxing sit on the beach to read.
Captain Sundaes is a family tradition! The week went too fast.

The house was very comfortable for all of us this week. We went to Tunnel Park and also Dutch Village while we were here. We also visited family and friends in the area. We took the train to Chicago and spent the day at American Girl Place.
Everything we did was fun and relaxing.
Thank you for everything - it was nice, clean, and comfortable. The weather was especially perfect - except for mosquitoes!

We greatly enjoyed our week at the "Singing Sand", with the exception that it went by too quickly. The house was clean, comfortable, and convenient to local attractions and those a little further our (Saugatuck & Grand Haven). The kids especially enjoyed Dutch Village, Windmill Island, & Tunnel Park. Our other recommendations would be the lighthouse & pier at Holland State Park; Kilwin's ice cream & fudge; the Grand Haven Historical Museum; and the beautiful walk to the beach at Saugatuck Dunes State Park.
Sorry to have missed the start of the blueberry picking season. Maybe next year...
Thank you for a memorable vacation ---

Thank you for opening your cottage up to us during our stay! The cottage is awesome. Very well kept, great location! We spent a lot of our time with family and enjoyed every minute. Tunnel Park, which is only a short walk, is a must do! Along with the State Park. Beaches are great and even with some luck you might even catch a kite surfer. Even though we didn't get to these places this trip, you must visit the downtown area, 8th Street Grill and 84 East are a couple of our favorite restaurants! Captain Sundaes is also a must do. Thanks again for a great weekend! Until next time---

All,
We had a great time and did and saw it all - Dutch Village, Windmill, Park, fireworks, Tunnel Park, shopping, Big Red, Pony rides, campfires, jogs and walks!
We saw the sun set at Big Red (down Lakeshore Drive) - on the lighthouse side- a real plus. Go to the gate-house and ask nicely for tickets to get you to the lighthouse.
The house was just what we were looking for and well furnished.
Via Maria is a great restaurant down town - nice for a date.
We ate the best fudge at Dutch Village and on Windmill Island.
The kids also loved riding their bikes on the bike path.
Thanks for a great vacation!

What a great cottage! I was thrilled with all the young children features! You should definitely add this info to your advertising. I was prepared to do lots of baby proofing and was thrilled to find it done already, plus a real high chair! Wow! [our kids are 3 yrs & 9 mo. Old]
We struggled with restaurants at first, but loved the Ottawa Beach Inn. Try the corn chowder; it's awesome!
The beaches couldn't have been much more perfect. This whole vacation was wonderful and we had a terrific time!

Hello!
Those of us from the Jersey & Florida & VA Shorelines fall in love with the Michigan Shores and the personality each time we come. It is totally amazing to me how the beauty of the sunset match the beauty of the hearts here.
When we come our focus is the beach. We rent “Ski Doos” and dove them up Tunnel Park a couple of days, which was a huge hit. There was a shoppy day in Saugatuck and my personal favorite “Big Red”.
We truly enjoyed our time here.

Thanks for the opportunity to use Singing Sand Cottage. Our friends and us definitely enjoyed our vacation here in Michigan. Our family's “must see” would be Lake Michigan's sunsets. They are BEAUTIFUL. A “must do” is relax at the beach. While you're here we recommend going for ice cream (definitely a plus). And last make sure you take time to listen to the “singing sand”!!

For someone who has never spent time in Michigan, let alone see the lake, the cottage was the perfect first time experience! It was great having Tunnel Park so close so that I could take a quick walk and sit on the beach whenever I wanted. State Park was also gorgeous… the sunsets were amazing! Being close to downtown Holland was also a fun plus. The food was great and so was all of the ice-cream! I had a wonderful, relaxing week here, and hopefully I can enjoy it again sometime.

I loved the cottage. It is very cozy and is centrally located just minutes from Tunnel Park and the State Park. I spent a lot of time at both beaches, which was the goal of my vacation. I would say my choice of a “must do” is going to the Cold Stone Creamery downtown. The ice cream there is awesome! Than you for letting us stay in the cottage. The sunsets well be in my mind until the next time I return!
